ParkinGO Car Parks Now Offer EV Charging at Select Locations!

ParkinGO EV Charging

Are you an electric car owner? Then you have yet another reason to opt for ParkinGO!

From now on our network of car parks offer you the possibility to charge your electric vehicle using the Green Power charging stations whenever your park with us.

The service provides added value, designed to facilitate passengers who have chosen sustainable mobility, with benefits for everyone.

Today you can find the Green Power EV charging points at the following ParkinGO facilities:

• Milan Malpensa
• Milan Linate
• Olbia
• Venice
• Naples
• Bologna

This project will gradually involve all ParkinGO car parks in Italy and Europe. According to data from Enel X and Symbola, electric car sales in Italy grew by 148.5% during 2018, marking an important increase of 93% for the single month of December on annual scale.

However, the national trend is still limited compared to the staggering growth of electric mobility in the world: in 2012 there were 100,000 electric cars circulating globally; in 2015, there were 740,000, while in 2018 the number reached 5 million.

All the large car manufacturers are riding the new market wave with electric and hybrid cars, which are able to offer high performance at minimal environmental impact and elegant design: just think of Tesla, Hyundai, Nissan, BMW. Even the producers of supercars, which have always been associated with the petrol engine performance, are starting to develop models that are able to come near or even replace the engines, on which they have built their success.

The official UEFA Champions League sponsor Nissan chose ParkinGO Linate in 2016 as their mobility partner for the finals, held in Milan: the Linate facility hosted a fleet of 50 Nissan Leaf electric vehicles, used for transfer by their staff.

In order to take advantage of the free electric charge at ParkinGO, it is necessary to choose the “indoor parking” option when booking: for security reasons the EV charging points are only available inside the facilities.
