The Valley Forge Casino Resort is Pennsylvania’s newest casino resort property, and like almost every other casino in the state, they have chosen to deploy Service Tracking Systems’ CVPS.net to manage their valet parking process.
The system there is made up of a high definition digital camera lane, housed in a TunnelVision canopy to provide for ideal lighting conditions, as well as the iPod/iPhone based mobile app , self-service customer request terminals, and traditional valet dispatch terminals.
The valet business uses CVPS to minimize exposure to liability for damage claims. High definition digital cameras record multiple images of each vehicle as they move through the TunnelVision lane. Automatic license plate recognition cameras read the license plate and recall stored information about the vehicle and the customer.
Besides reducing exposure to liability, CVPS tracks each step in the valet parking process, and makes that information available to the valet operation via real time system monitors. Supervisors or Managers can track when tickets are issued, who is parking each car, and how long it is taking them to complete their task. Real time monitoring of the parking process not only ensures that employees aren’t wandering off and taking unauthorized breaks, but also warns when vehicle keys are not accounted for in a timely manner, greatly reducing the likelihood that those keys get lost.
When customers are ready to depart, CVPS tracks the time of the request, when the valet retrieves the keys for each vehicle, and when it is ultimately returned to the customer. Customer wait time is displayed for guests on a large monitor in the waiting area, providing real time updates at each step of the process.
