PhotoViolationHHU Handheld Unit uses Photo Violations to Enforce Parking Regulations

Photo Violation Technologies Corp. (“PVT”), a leader in technologically innovative parking meter solutions and creator of the PhotoViolationMeter™ is pleased to announce the launch of its patent pending PhotoViolationHHU™.
Now, not only is a picture worth a thousand words, but it eliminates excuses as well by providing photographic evidence that a parking violation has occurred. The PhotoViolationHHU™ and wireless printer unit, issues parking violations with a picture, providing evidence of a vehicle in violation along with its license plate. In collaboration with partners Hand Held Products and Printek Inc., this state of the art handheld solution features a robust suite of data collection and wireless communications functionalities designed to make parking enforcement both efficient and lucrative for cities and municipalities.

Through the use of Hand Held Products’ Dolphin 9500 Series mobile computer, powered by Adaptus™ Imaging Technology, and Printek Inc.’s Mt3-II series mobile printer, the PhotoViolationHHU™ can issue parking violations by capturing a digital image of a violation, assisting in the prevention of manual input errors, and will drastically cut down on violation disputes and court time. The PhotoViolationHHU™ also features integrated GSM/GPRS radios enabling real-time wireless two-way voice and data communications, embedded digital photography and Bluetooth mobile capabilities.
photoviolationhhu_info.jpgLight-weight and easy to use, the PhotoViolationHHU™’s multiple data collection and communication options create an efficient and easy-to-use alternative to the solutions currently on the market. The need for heavy, multi-gadget units connected by inconvenient cables is eliminated because the PhotoViolationHHU™ and printer unit combines all these products into one wireless system.

When integrated with PVT’s self-enforcing PhotoViolationMeter™ and its software counterparts, the PhotoViolationHHU™ creates a fully integrated parking enforcement solution. Through the efficiencies realized by implementing the solution, enforcement officers can be redeployed to high violation areas that may not currently be enforced by a meter. The results are improved operational efficiencies, decreased time wasted in court, improved overall enforcement capabilities, and increased revenues through more timely payments.

“PVT’s partnerships with Hand Held Products and Printek Inc. to produce the PhotoViolationHHU™ brings innovative parking enforcement solutions to the forefront of the industry,” Fred Mitschele, President and CEO of PVT commented. “As an organization, PVT is excited about working with industry leaders in image-based mobile and wireless computing solutions and wireless industrial printing solutions. This partnership is a milestone in the development of Photo Violation Technologies’ revolutionary Photo Violation Management Solution and PVT looks forward to a prosperous partnership with Hand Held Products and Printek Inc.”

“PVT’s choice to use the Dolphin 9500 for their PhotoViolationHHU™ is a perfect example of how the 9500’s versatility and advanced functionality can be applied to a diverse range of mobile applications”, said Kevin Ahearn, VP/GM, Mobile & Wireless, Hand Held Products. “By capitalizing on its durability, integrated wireless full area networking, and Adaptus™ Imaging Technology, PVT has created an industry-leading mobile parking enforcement solution.”
