Portier Lands in Tampere University Hospital

Portier Lands in Tampere University Hospital

Portier has been selected as a guidance solution for the new underground parking garage built in Tampere University Hospital (Tampere, Finland) which treats nearly 200,000 patients each year.

The two-level parking facility opens in May 2018 and has over 400 spaces that will serve mainly visitors and patients. It will also have other functions such as loading and pick-up points inside the parking garage for ambulances and taxis. Mixed-use requirements were one of the key inputs during the design and selection of the most suitable parking guidance solution.

Our ultrasonic Portier ParkSensor system was selected as it provides the best possible accuracy and customer experience with minimal operational intervention. Comfortable parking adds significant value to any business, and it is also a must in the hospital environment where the patients and their visitors are always subject to additional stress – removal of unnecessary stress factors related to parking is highly appreciated and improves the customer experience for everybody.

Portier is delighted to see that it was able to deliver another perfect match in a typically complex and challenging hospital parking.
