PGGM and DELA New Q-PARK Shareholders

The insurance companies PGGM and DELA have become new shareholders of the
parking company Q-Park. The share issue has increased the existing share package. DELA has acquired 29,000 shares (5.1% of the entire share portfolio) and PGGM 35,000 shares (6.15%). The transaction involves a sum of over EUR 91 million.

Reaffirmation of trust

“The participation of two solid companies such as DELA and PGGM is a reaffirmation of trust in our business operations and strategy,” according to Ward Vleugels, Chairman of Q-Park’s Executive Board. DELA is a cooperative service provider focusing on funeral insurance and services. It manages invested assets of approximately EUR 2.5 billion. PGGM is a pension insurance company for the care and welfare sector and has invested assets of approximately EUR 70 billion.

Focusing on the long term

Ward Vleugels sees similarities in approach between Q-Park and the two new shareholders. “Both insurance companies represent the long-term interests of their members. As a parking company, we also focus on long-term positions in large European countries, at airports, railway stations and hospitals. These new shareholders will enable us to strengthen and expand our position in Europe in the coming years.”
