Q-Park, the top-5 player in the European parking market and market leader in the Netherlands has announced that they will take over the 8000 space car parking operation at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland.

International strategic hub

belfast.jpgIn international terms Belfast International Airport is an important hub, for both business and consumer air traffic. Ward Vleugels, Chairman of the Executive Board says “This is a prime location for Q-Park. Q-Park views parking as an element in the overall mobility chain and for us it is very important to have a presence at an international hub like Belfast International Airport.”
”Q-Park has extensive experience in the operation of Airport parking in Ireland, the UK and throughout Europe and we are really looking forward to bringing a new product and parking philosophy to customers at Belfast International Airport. We have planned a number of strategic changes which will give visitors better quality, value for money and more flexibility in airport parking”.

Continuing Investment in Northern Ireland

This move represents Q-Parks continued investment in Northern Ireland and follows the recent announcement of Q-Park’s acquisition of a 1,000 space car parking facility at Victoria Square the £300 million complex in the heart of Belfast City Centre which will open in 2008.

Q-Park owns, manages and runs — fully, or in combination — multi-storey car parks. In recent years, interests in Europe have been rapidly expanded with strong market positions in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Ireland and Denmark.
