Quercus Technologies’ Latest Projects Improve the Parking Experience in New York and Tarragona

Quercus has completed two projects in New York and another in Tarragona

Quercus Technologies’ recent installations in New York and Tarragona show how their SmartLPR Access and Spot Control Units can improve the customer experience for end-users whilst providing useful data to parking operators. Through LPR technology Quercus can improve access to facilities, increase safety and generate useful information.

Monitoring Customer Behaviour at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets

At Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in New York, Quercus Technologies’ license plate recognition based parking control system is now managing the center’s 2,000 parking spots.

Located in an easily accessible area from New York City, and with good connections to tourist attractions in the south of New York state, the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets shopping center has more than 250 stores of exclusive brands and luxury products.

Quercus’s SmartLPR Access with LPR area functionality has been installed on the roof of the shopping center. Following the installation of the Spot Control units, Woodbury Common can now monitor license plates to gather data on the behavior of their customers and the length of their stay in the facility.

Improving Access at Parc Central Shopping Mall

Parc Central, the largest and busiest shopping center in the province of Tarragona, has installed 10 SmartLPR Access cameras. The cameras, installed in a cabinet-like housing, added to existing cameras, are helping to improve mobility and facilitate access to the parking facility, both on the roof and underground.

Parc Central is one of the many companies and organizations joining the Quercus experience in detection and license plate recognition, helping to increase safety for parking users and providing useful information to the parking operator.

Facilitating Automatic Access at Richman Plaza

The Richman Plaza, located in the Bronx, a metropolitan district of New York, has installed two of Quercus’ SmartLPR Access units to control the access and exit of the parking facility through the reading of license plates. In this way, workers in the offices that are on the whitelist can now access the parking facility automatically.

Quercus was chosen for the project as they offer one of the best options to complement the intelligent parking guidance in the facility, helping to take the user experience to the next level.
