Recognix to Launch Undistorted 180-degree Live Imaging Solution for Drivers
Recognix Technologies Ltd announces the launch of its Wide Angle View System (WAVS) at the ITS World Congress and Exhibition, 9 - 12 October, at Excel, London. The WAVS offers passenger's cars drivers unprecedented 180-degree undistorted, panoramic, live images of dead zones and performs as a powerful all-weather parking assist solution, where obstacles normally undetected by other reversing aids (such as ultra sonic or radar) become visible.
An Advanced Driver Awareness Solutions platform, WAVS is based on its Real Time Video Image Processing (RTVIP) technology, which is the result of 2 years of development and utilises surveillance and military imaging solutions.
Not only the wide range of detectable obstacles makes this solution unique but also the absolute 180-degree viewing field, which, thanks to the proprietary Real Time Image Restoration technology, appears as a flat image on drop-down, built-in or other in-cabin display monitor.
Recognix Technologies Ltd's long-term strategy is based on its capability to add additional features to its RTVIP, e.g., image stabilisation, and stitching as well as motion detection and tracking. The implementation of these capabilities will result in a single, reliable and cost-effective Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) platform supporting safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Occupants' Monitoring, dead spot monitoring and panoramic awareness, all stabilised on the driver's monitor in real time, supporting all terrain driving.
