RICHARD SWAPS OVERSEAS ROLE FOR UK POSITION

He has been appointed to cover the south east for Metric Parking for whom he previously handled export sales.

Richard, 53, who has been with Metric Parking since May 2006, has secured his own area stretching from north of the M4 Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire - to around the M25 and the counties of Essex and Norfolk.

As export sales I dealt mainly with Metrics overseas distributors, said Richard. Now I am seeing the end customer on a daily basis.

He has had a progressive career in the electronics and electrical industry, with 14 years experience in export sales, key account management worldwide and a background in design and manufacture, R&D and technical sales support.

Prior to joining Metric he spent nearly two years as a UK sales engineer with a company whose business was automated gates, barrier systems and access control selling to installers and distributors across the southern half of the UK, and before that was a UK and export sales engineer.

One of his interests is travel, particularly in Germany as his wife Katja is half-German. The couple live in Wootton Bassett close to Metrics Swindon-based headquarters.
