Saba will manage the car park for tenerife sur airport
The car park has a total of 2,460 places, which saba will manage for the next three years, a period that can be extended for a further two years. Saba is reinforcing its portfolio of airport car parks in Spain, adding that of Tenerife Sur to those it already manages at Barcelona-El Prat, Girona and Reus.
Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (Aena) has awarded saba, the parking business unit of the abertis group, its contract to manage the car park at Tenerife Sur airport. This contract is initially for three years but can be extended for a further two years. The car park is made up of 11 zones totalling 2,460 places.
Tenerife Sur airport is the seventh largest airport in Spain in terms of passenger volume, with 8.5 million passengers in 2008. saba already manages the car parks at the airports of Barcelona-El Prat, Girona and Reus. With this contract, saba has consolidated its position as one of the leading operators in airport parking management in Spain.
Currently, saba provides a total of 137,532 parking spaces distributed across 205 car parks in Spain, Italy, Chile, Portugal, France, Morocco and Andorra. saba is rolling out new projects that will increase its total number of car parks to 219 and its total number of parking spaces to approximately 150,000.
