Sausalito selects Streetline real-time parking control system and wireless parking sensors

Streetline, Inc., announced today that the City of Sausalito California has selected the Streetline real-time parking control system and ultra low power wireless occupancy sensors in a competitive bidding process.
Sausalito is a picturesque waterfront community located on the northern end of the San Francisco bay. The city measures 2.2 square miles and has a population of approximately 7,500. The Streetline system will be used to help manage 538 metered parking spaces in four municipal parking lots enforced 7 days a week.

Streetline is integrating with APARC Systems TicketManager citation management and Siemens paystations. The Streetline system automatically collects parking occupancy information, including all vehicle arrivals and departures, using patented ultra low power wireless sensor technology, and a suite of parking management applications. The system will be deployed in approximately 30 days.

We are very excited about this project," said Tod Dykstra, Chief Executive Officer of Streetline, Inc. Sausalitos selection of Streetline and the interface with Siemens/APARC pay-by-space Parking System will result in one of the most advanced parking management systems in the world. Its a great endorsement of our solution and were proud to add Sausalito to the growing list of cities that have discovered the incredible return on investment our system provides".

Streetline, the leader in wireless parking occupancy sensors, provides sensors and controls that monitor and communicate with stationary and linear assets (parking meters, parking spaces, vehicle traffic lanes, streetlights, fire hydrants, and virtually any object on or near streets). Using data collected from ultra low power devices Streetline provides real-time software as a service to improve productivity and revenue while reducing costs.
