Parking of the future with Contipark and Scheidt & Bachmann in Angerhof in Munich

The prestigious location Angerhof in Munich, Germany is a modern, imposing residential and business building.
Oberanger01.jpgThe distinguished penthouse and loft flats are in the top league by international standards. Apart from the exclusive and luxurious fittings of the flats, the residents are offered particularly convenient service direct access from the high rise garage to the flat corridor on the respective storey.

The elegant building in the Munich old city centre attracted press attention by the fact among other things that one of the most spectacular and certainly most expensive penthouse flats in Germany is located here.

Parking facilities with 430 parking spaces for customers and guests of the business areas and restaurants are available in the underground garage Oberanger, singled out by the ADAC for its user-friendliness. These are light, clearly arranged and video-monitored.

Bearing the high expectations regarding convenience of the residents and companies in Angerhof in mind, the operator and owner of the underground garage, Contipark International, decided together with Scheidt & Bachmann to install a parking management system with integrated licence plate recognition LPR.

Eight cameras in the entry and exit areas record the number plate of the vehicle. This is transferred to the database and automatically compared with the numbers deposited there. If there is a correspondence, the barrier is raised and the motorist can enter or leave the garage.
This service, which has been installed initially just for regular parkers, has the advantage that no medium for authorisation is required for entering and leaving anymore.
Oberanger02.jpgConsequently, the customer does not need to insert a card or identify himself with any of the otherwise customary regular parker media at the entrance or exit as someone with an access permit. What is especially customer-friendly is that up to three number plates can be deposited in the database per regular parker. Committing oneself to one access-authorised car is therefore unnecessary. If required, the customer can for example enter the underground garage with his company car, private vehicle or second car provided he registered all three numbers when concluding the contract.

While in Germany initial operation models with number plate recognition systems have only just begun, this system is already standard in other European countries. In Spain and Greece the law actually requires parking area operators to print the car number plate registration on the parking ticket when entering parking garages and underground garages.

Technically this could be realised in Germany too. Solutions for this purpose are available at Scheidt & Bachmann and can be deployed at any time. Due to the high security requirements, the LPR system has also become established as standard in the USA, for example at airports.

Contipark continues to pursue solutions with this system in view of its orientation as a premium supplier for attractive and convenient parking products. Apart from the convenience and service offers for customers, security and understandability of parking processes has top priority in the companys installations. Scheidt & Bachmann is a reliable partner in this mission with a high degree of innovation potential.
