Successful changeover of pay stations to Euro currency in Slovakia

The beginning of 2009 has been the date of official introduction of the Euro as the official currency also in Slovakia. The Euro conversion in the meanwhile 16th country of the currency union has been passed free of problems.
scheidt&bachmann-Euro.jpgSlovakia, which has joined the European Union in 2004, is the second country of Eastern Europe after Slovenia that has introduced the Euro.
The conversion of the Scheidt & Bachmann pay stations to Euro has also been successful. An example for the success is the PZP Hurbanova project, a large covered car park with more than 500 parking lots, the largest and most frequented car park in Zilina.

The retrofitting procedures took place smoothly. The technical instructions and the corresponding software and hardware conversion kit have done excellent jobs during retrofitting in the existing 15 Euro countries. Each automatic pay station now accepts Euro coins and banknotes. The fiscal printers prescribed by law now show the new currency.
To facilitate the use of the Euro as the new currency by the citizens, the payable amount will be shown on the display of the automatic pay stations both in the "old" currency, the Slovakian Crown, and in Euro. A comfortable service to the customers because the exchange rate is 30.1260 Slovakian Crowns for one Euro.
