Charging ahead at Fleet World 2013

Siemens heads to Silverstone in Northants this week to take part in the 2013 Fleet World Fleet Show, exhibiting for the second time at the event on Wednesday 24 April. Siemens will promote the company’s proven electromobility solutions for the UK Electric Vehicle market and demonstrate its eMosphere back-office network management software, providing a fully integrated platform for managing any electric vehicle charging network.

Mark Bonnor-Moris, Head of Electromobility, UK and Ireland Siemens said: ‘Our electric vehicle charging solutions are built on four key principles; industry leading fast charging technology, modular back-office control and management software, extensive contact centre capabilities and comprehensive service packages. All are tailored to meet individual customer requirements and ensure maximum system availability and safety. Siemens charging solutions are designed, built and installed for long term field deployment and high levels of usage making them the sensible long-term technology choice.’

Siemens is a delivery partner for Source London, the Capital’s plan to develop the UK’s largest electric vehicle charge point network with more charge points than petrol stations in the city, providing IT and services for the back office operations. Siemens capabilities in the Electric Vehicle market extend significantly further, from charging infrastructure and software to service maintenance, call-centre management and fleet services.

In addition to comprehensive back office solutions for load and tariff management, Siemens also provides a full supply, installation and maintenance service. As the UK’s largest provider of traffic control and signalling equipment, the company has a specialist field service operation that is able to support EV charging infrastructure as part of a much larger portfolio of work. This ensures that the EV chargers are maintained to a high and consistent service level ensuring the highest performance in terms of availability and safety.
