The growth continues - SKIDATA management has announced that sales for the business year 2015 were at record levels: 261 million euros. Company growth measured 37% and future prospects are excellent.
The record year for the Salzburg specialists in innovative people access solutions and parking systems resulted from both the organic growth of the company as well as major acquisitions in Australia and America. The international presence was also increased with the opening of new offices in Tunisia and India. With initial installations in Latvia, Botswana, Guatemala, Panama and Paraguay, the number of countries where SKIDATA solutions are found increased to more than 95.
In particular, a highlight for 2015 is the growth and positioning as market leader in North America. In the area of parking management, new projects won by SKIDATA include the airports in Sacramento, Orlando and Dallas. Furthermore, to date more than 25 sports clubs from the American football league, the NFL, the ice hockey league, the NHL, and the basketball league, the NBA all now benefit from the SKIDATA loyalty program, including none less than the Super Bowl-winning Denver broncos, the San Francisco 49ers, and LA Kings.
The American ski areas of Steamboat and Winter Park have also been equipped by SKIDATA, providing even more reason to celebrate. "Skiing is not least due to our history at our core - we are pleased that we can expand our market leadership in this important sector with these new ski areas. It is with innovative solutions that we always try to go one step further in offering operators and guests more comfort. For example, 2016 will see the application of the loyalty program in a ski resort for the first time. Also, the new, innovative access portal EasyBoarding.Gate was well received in Bad Gastein as well as other locations", Hugo Rohner, CEO of SKIDATA.
A major share of the record year was also contributed by the complete integration of the Australian SKIDATA Joint Venture and the acquisition of the US companies Don Harstad and Sentry Control Systems. That secured direct access to about 40 percent of all of the American SKIDATA customers which were previously being served by Sentry itself. These customers can now benefit from the entire range of SKIDATA expertise as well as a strong, complete solution from a single source - vehicle access management systems, software, hardware, third-party systems and the accompanying services. Furthermore, an additional branch was opened in Tunisia, and the South American market continues to boom.
"We are very proud of what we have achieved in recent years, and especially in 2015. But we will not rest on this success - also in 2016, we will make every effort to achieve our primary goal: to provide our customers with the very best in access solutions and service", said Hugo Rohner about the record year.
Worldwide SKIDATA has 1,200 employees, 23 subsidiaries and 3 joint ventures and is represented in over 95 countries. In 2015 the Salzburg company generated a record turnover of 261 million euros, which represents a growth of 37%.
