SKIDATA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SKIDATA AG is pleased to announce the successful implementation of their 3M Asset Refreshment Program in Brooklyn, New York.
SKIDATA has just completed the implementation of the 3M Asset Refreshment Program at Brooklyn Junction in Brooklyn, New York. This large garage includes 6 APM’s (including one inside of a Target store) that were all outfitted with 3C Payment EMV terminals. Additionally two lanes were also installed with the new EMV readers - one exit lane with a 3M Ticket Spitter and a Transaction Panel built into an exit booth. The garage is now able to process credit card payments in a fully PA DSS compliant manner.
SKIDATA’s 3M Asset Refreshment Program has been rolled out throughout the United States, however this is the first installation in the New York Metropolitan Area. Jim Meany, Senior Sales Professional for SKIDATA, Inc. expressed his excitement for this installation, “I’m proud to offer a solution that adds secure payment terminals to a legacy 3M revenue control solution, therefore helping to secure hundreds of credit card transactions each week. The owner has taken advantage of the SKIDATA secure payment terminal solution while postponing equipment replacement costs to a more convenient future date.”
SKIDATA’s 2015 purchase of 3M’s Parking Business software (EFMS, ScanNet) and firmware, along with PARCS equipment drawings gave them exclusive rights to develop and produce 3M’s parking products (formerly known as Federal APD). The 3M Asset Refreshment Program has been developed to offer existing sites the ability to run 3M / FAPD hardware with SKIDATA software (Parking.Logic) or migrate to SKIDATA hardware. This program extends the life cycle of current equipment and allows for sites to accept credit cards equipped with PA DSS validated terminals.
