The Beacon Skyline Automated Parking System
The Skyline Parking APS (Automated Parking System) at the Beacon requires an area as little as 16 m2 and a volume of just 38 m3 per vehicle - over 50% less than a typical conventional
car park. And the Beacon will be the fastest known automated parking system*, averaging circa. 45 seconds to park or retrieve a car.
The Beacon APS will utilise two vehicle entry/exit lobbies, two storage and retrieval systems and two vehicle lifts. Plus, in order to improve space efficiency, vehicles are parked double-deep.
Ambi Singh, the commercial director of the Beacon’s developer stated, “We have a wonderful underground parking solution here – it’s pretty cool. There are fewer emissions down there as it is automated – plus it takes up much less space.”

Automated parking systems (APS) remove the need for humans from the parking process. Drivers and passengers simply exit their vehicles and mechanical parking technology automatically transports the vehicle to parking spaces then retrieves them again at the driver’s request.
