Standard Parking Announces Campus Parking Awards
Standard Parking Corporation, one of the nation's leading providers of parking management services, announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract to provide parking management and shuttle services at "University Circle" in Cleveland, Ohio, and a three-year contract to provide a broad range of parking services at two campuses for the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado.
In one square mile, University Circle, Cleveland's cultural, educational and medical center, encompasses museums, galleries, performing arts, parks, gardens, schools, colleges and hospitals. Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals of Cleveland and University Circle Inc. collectively are responsible for the majority of parking garages and surface lots within University Circle. These comprise a total of 12,000 spaces, including the parking that serves the Cleveland Orchestra's Severance Hall. Under the contract award, Standard Parking also will operate a fleet of 15 shuttle buses on the campus.
The two campuses of the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center (UCDHSC) that are managed by Standard Parking contain a total of 5,000 parking spaces in two parking facilities and 31 surface lots. The parking operations serve the schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy and graduate school, as well as the University of Colorado Hospital. Standard Parking is the first private company to be awarded the management of these parking services for UCDHSC. The Company will be responsible for selling parking permits, access cards and parking passes, and for providing parking enforcement services that include the monitoring of more than 70 on-street parking meters as well as the issuance and collection of University parking tickets.
