Standard Parking Announces Election of Michael J. Roberts as Director

Standard Parking Corporation (Nasdaq:STAN), one of the nation's leading providers of parking management, ground transportation and other ancillary services, today announced the addition to its Board of Directors of Michael J. Roberts. Mr. Roberts, 59, was elected as Director at the Company's annual meeting of shareholders held on April 28th.
Mr. Roberts is the former president and chief operating officer of Global McDonald's Corporation. Before assuming that position with McDonald's in November 2004, Mr. Roberts had served as the Chief Executive Officer of McDonald's USA during 2004, President of McDonald's USA from 2001 to 2004, and President of the West Division of McDonald's USA from 1997 to 2001. Mr. Roberts also serves as a director of W.W. Grainger and of Qwest Communications International, Inc.

Robert S. Roath, non-executive Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, said, "We are very excited to welcome Mike Roberts to our Board. The insight and guidance that he can provide to us in light of his experience and success at McDonald's will serve us extremely well. We are extremely fortunate to have him on our Board."  

Mr. Roberts will also serve as a member of Standard Parking's audit and compensation committees. As such, the Company's audit committee, compensation committee and nominating and governance committee now are each comprised exclusively of independent Board members.
