Indiana Names Five 'Spotlight' Award Winners at 'Companies to Watch' Ceremony

Indianapolis - Five Indiana companies were recognized as "Spotlight" award recipients at the fifth annual "Companies to Watch" ceremony in Indianapolis yesterday.

The accolade, presented by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the Indiana Small Business Development Center and the Edward Lowe Foundation, recognizes past "Companies to Watch" honorees that have demonstrated continued growth, success and commitment to Indiana.

Companies honored were Princeton-based Onsite Occupational Health & Safety, Inc., an occupational medicine firm, Fishers-based Stonegate Mortgage Corporation, a financial services provider, Indianapolis-based Sun King Brewing Co., a local brewery, Indianapolis-based T2 Systems Inc., a parking management software firm and Anderson-based Xtreme Alternative Defense Systems, a non-lethal and anti-materiel directed energy weapons producer.

Onsite Occupational Health & Safety, Inc., a 2011 "Companies to Watch" recipient, has grown from 66 full-time employees in 2011 to more than 130 associates today. The company, which recently opened branch offices in Washington, D.C. and Dubai, was named the fastest-growing company inIndiana by Five Elms Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm, and achieved the Gold Seal of Approval for health care staffing services certification from The Joint Commission, an independent not-for-profit accreditation organization.

Stonegate Mortgage Corporation, a 2011 "Companies to Watch" recipient, was named the fastest growing independent mortgage company in the country by Inc. magazine. The company, growing from 137 to more than 200 full time employees during the last year, relocated to a new headquarters on the north side of Indianapolis as part of its expansion to add up to 300 employees by 2015.

Sun King Brewing Co., a 2011 "Companies to Watch" recipient, has become the second largest brewery in Indiana. This year, Sun King Brewing won three medals at the World Beer Cup 2012, adding to the eight medals it won at the Great American Beer Festival 2011. With more than 35 full-time employees, the company expects to see employee growth of 80 percent by the end of this year.

T2 Systems Inc., a 2008 "Companies to Watch" recipient, recently raised $28 million in equity funding for growth, hiring and acquisitions. The company has partnered with Cale America, Inc., a provider of high-tech solutions for unattended parking. The partnership allows for seamless enforcement of Cale Pay-by-Space meters using T2's handheld enforcement software. With more than 120 full-time employees, the company expects to see employee growth of 60 percent by the end of this year.

Xtreme Alternative Defense Systems, a 2008 "Companies to Watch" recipient, has transitioned from defense system research and development to manufacturing products. The company has a contract with the Army Rapid Equipping Force to deliver, integrate and test four RoboXap Counter-IED systems for testing and ultimate fielding assessments in Afghanistan. With more than 25 full-time employees, the company saw revenue growth of 300 percent last year.

The third annual "Spotlight" award winners were honored along with this year's 25 "Companies to Watch" recipients at a ceremony at The Indiana Roof Ballroom yesterday. Companies recognized as "Companies to Watch" are privately held businesses incorporated in Indiana, employ six to 150 full-time employees and have between $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue or capital.
