T2 Systems Mike Simmons Finalist for 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

This award honors entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Regional award winners are eligible for consideration in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 national program.

Im humbled and honored by this announcement, Simmons said. Although this is a great personal achievement, it also is a great honor for T2 Systems as we continue to work together as a team to develop personal relationships with customers and continue to offer solutions and services that ensure their success.

Simmons was chosen as a finalist by an independent judging panel made up of regional business, academic and community leaders. Winners will be announced at a gala event on June 26 at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago.

This year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 22nd anniversary. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced on November 15 at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nations most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

In addition to this prestigious honor, Simmons was also re-elected to the International Parking Institutes Board of Directors during the organizations annual conference and tradeshow on June 1-4, 2008. As founder and President of T2 Systems, a leading provider of parking solutions, Simmons has worked in the parking industry since 1994 and has served on the IPI board of advisors and board of directors for the past nine years.
