Tenix Solutions concludes trial of autoChalk
Over the past few months, Melbourne-based Tenix Solutions has been trialling the digital parking enforcement system, autoChalk, to validate its accuracy and suitability to the local environmental conditions and local legislative requirements.
AutoChalk is uses sophisticated digital imaging, lasers and GPS to electronically chalk vehicles and detect time overstay offences.
The trial has now concluded and Tenix Solutions is not satisfied that autoChalk meets the requirement of our local market.
Tenix Solutions General Manager of Marketing and Strategy, Gehan Dantanarayana, said permits are commonly used by councils throughout Australia, and autoChalk is unable to capture a readable image of a permit displayed on a vehicles windscreen. We have advised the supplier of this issue and look forward to reviewing the solution at a later date should this issue be addressed.
Tenix Solutions is committed to using new technology to enhance the effectiveness of our parking enforcement practices and will continue to develop and trial innovative technologies.
