Texas Parking Association Recognizes Parking Management Assistant Director with 2008 Distinguished Service Award

City of Houston Assistant Director for Parking Management Liliana Rambo, has been honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the Texas Parking Association. She has been recognized for her significant and influential contributions to the parking industry in Texas.
The Texas Parking Association (TPA) is a statewide association of individuals from parking related businesses. Its members include those who work in municipalities, other government bodies, local, state or national parking authorities, transportation authorities, commissions, also including universities, colleges, airports, hospitals, stadiums and auditoriums.

Liliana is widely respected in the parking industry and is sought out for advice, said Jerry Dinse, president of the Texas Parking Association and parking program manager for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. She has spurred parking professionals to join us at the table and encouraged the open exchange of ideas.

As an active board member of the TPA, Rambo developed and implemented a series of roundtables focused on improving different aspects of parking operations.A board member of the International Parking Institute, Rambo also chairs the membership committee for TPA.

Parking Management is a branch of the City of Houston Traffic & Transportation Division of the Department of Public Works & Engineering. In addition to servicing and maintaining almost 6,000 on-street parking spaces across the Greater Houston area, Parking Management initiates sound regulations for all commercial and residential areas enhancing pedestrian safety, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and allowing emergency vehicles to reach their destinations.
