The Parking Shop will launch 'Modal' at Traffex 2009
The Parking Shop will launch a new company division, Modal, at the upcoming Traffex 2009 International Traffic Engineering, Road Safety and Highway Maintenance Exhibition.
The new division will specialise in traffic management products such as the SafeHit range, highway signage, passive safety products and administrative services for the transportation industry including season tickets and travel
Ian Gamble, Sales Director of The Parking Shop, explained why The Parking Shop was launching the new division; "For several years we have been incredibly successful in the parking industry, and we realized that many of our products and services could be useful for people who specialise in different areas of road and traffic safety." When asked which Modal offering will have the biggest impact, Ian replied "It has to be the range of passive safety products we can offer. This is hugely topical at the moment as people are realizing how many injuries can be avoided if highway signs and other traffic safety products are used effectively. Safety is one of the primary considerations when designing parking facilities and the movement of people and traffic in and out of them. The opportunity to expand these principles into all aspects of highways and transportation is something we're looking forward to."
Traffex is an internationally recognised exhibition, attended by exhibitors specialising in innovative traffic management and road safety solutions. "The Parking Shop has been a regular exhibitor at the Traffex and Parkex exhibitions for some time now. For us, it's the perfect time to demonstrate our new transport and highways offering to attendees from sectors of the industry who may only know us as a parking products and services company," Ian explained. "Traffex will give us the opportunity to show how the skills, products and experience we have in the parking industry will make us ideal to work with in highways and transportation."
