TimHaahs Awarded Major Contracts to Design Five New Parking Structures for Georgia Universities
Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) has been selected as part of a design-build team, led by H.J. Russell Construction, to provide prime parking design services for four new parking structures that are part of the University System of Georgia and the Department of Technical Adult Education.
The four parking projects will total over 1,900 spaces and be built at the following campuses: Dalton State College, Southern Polytechnic State University, Gainesville State College, and DeKalb Technical College.
The University of Georgia selected TimHaahs to provide master planning and prime design services for a new 1,000-space parking structure.
TimHaahs is studying several sites for a new parking structure including one that could serve the Performing Arts and Visual Center on the campus. The project may consist of more than one parking structure, based on the preliminary analysis completed thus far. The parking structure(s) are needed to serve both special events and commuter parking needs.
These structured parking facilities will provide the essential infrastructure for continued growth and development at these institutions.
