TimHaahs Awarded Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal Garage 8 Design-Build Project
The Canaveral Port Authority recently selected Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. for the design of their new Cruise Terminal Garage at Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral, FL. TimHaahs will work under the leadership of Hardin Construction and Baker Barrios Architects to deliver this new precast parking structure using the design-build approach.
The project consists of a six level, 999 space, parking garage to support the Cruise Terminal 8 Facility of Disney Cruise Lines. This new garage will service the expanding demand for infrastructure to support the cruise industry. The design includes an elevated circulation walkway, providing direct and convenient access from the Cruise Terminal to the parking garage.
TimHaahs is also working with HKS Architects, Inc. on the design of an expansion to the Tampa Port Authority Channelside Garage in Tampa, Florida.
When completed, the new garages for both ports will contribute to the growing demand for parking in the popular cruise industry in Florida. TimHaahs is proud to play a role in these instrumental projects for economic growth and tourism in the state.
