Transoft Solutions releases ParkCAD 2.0

ParkCAD 2 hosts a selection of new and powerful userfriendly features that boost 'built-in intelligent functions' with greater ease of use which will enable the end-user to quickly and efficiently generate parking layout alternatives from conceptual design right up to and including preliminary and final design layouts. In development since December of 2004, ParkCAD 2 has been touted by many in the parking industry to be the de facto standard for parking facility design.

• The capability to shift internal rows while generating parking lots
• Dynamic mid-island creation which allows for instant placement in parking layouts
• The ability to view aisle construction lines to visually display the area required for vehicle parking maneuvers
• Island construction lines shows the amount of space needed to design custom islands to the user's required standards
• Ability to select multiple elements (i.e. rows, stalls, islands, etc.) and edit to desired specifications and standards
• Full compatibility with AutoCAD 2006

Transoft Solutions Inc. relocates corporate head office

Transoft Solutions, an industry leader in the development of state of the art software for road, parking and airport design professionals, is pleased to announce the relocation of its corporate headquarters to Commerce Park, Richmond. Commerce Park is one of British Columbia’s premier technology office parks. Transoft’s move was due in part to its rapid expansion, which involved a 30% increase in staff, within the past year and to accommodate the company’s future growth plans.

Commenting on the company’s move, Transoft’s President, Milton Carrasco, had this to say, “The company has grown at a healthy rate since 1998 which resulted in us out growing our previous space in early 2001. As a result we were forced to lease additional space offsite for our dev group. Given our forecasts for future growth, we decided to acquire a new lease to not only accommodate our whole group in the Vancouver area under one roof but also to provide room for expansion to 2010. The new office park is ideal in that way as it can take on the growth that Transoft continues to experience and has the capacity to accommodate even further growth beyond that horizon”
