Transoft Solutions releases ParkCAD 2.0

-- New ParkCAD version promises to revolutionize the way parking facilities are designed -- Transoft Solutions, the leaders in pioneering CAD based software for the architectural and engineering design sector, has just announced a new version release of its unique parking lot design software.
ParkCAD 2 hosts a selection of new and powerful userfriendly features that boost 'built-in intelligent functions' with greater ease of use which will enable the end-user to quickly and efficiently generate parking layout alternatives from conceptual design right up to and including preliminary and final design layouts. In development since December of 2004, ParkCAD 2 has been touted by many in the parking industry to be the de facto standard for parking facility design.
parkcad.jpgNoel Dolotallas, Marketing Manager at Transoft Solutions had this to say about the software, “Our newest version (ParkCAD 2) addresses certain issues that came out of the original release. We've worked hard to incorporate ideas and suggestions provided to us by original users of ParkCAD and expert advisors. With version two we've vastly improved the user interface and included powerful new editing tools thereby making it the most advanced software of its kind in the industry today. As well, the software has been made even more user friendly, which is a very important aspect for our customers.”

Lastly, Mr. Dolotallas had this to say, “We see this new version of ParkCAD as being the one people have been waiting for - something that's on par with what our users would expect from us in terms of ease of use and increased productivity. Of course it's easy to say these things but when we receive stories from scores of users applauding its usability, I have to admit it gets a little hard not to get enthused.”

Additional new features for ParkCAD 2 include:

• The ability to define entrance and exit points for parking lots
• The capability to shift internal rows while generating parking lots
• Dynamic mid-island creation which allows for instant placement in parking layouts
• The ability to view aisle construction lines to visually display the area required for vehicle parking maneuvers
• Island construction lines shows the amount of space needed to design custom islands to the user's required standards
• Ability to select multiple elements (i.e. rows, stalls, islands, etc.) and edit to desired specifications and standards
• Full compatibility with AutoCAD 2006

ParkCAD 2 is intended for a wide range of users including architects, civil engineers, drafters, urban planners, CAD technicians, and land developers and is designed to integrate with Transoft's flagship product, AutoTURN, to offer an even greater practicability for parking facility design projects.

Transoft Solutions Inc. relocates corporate head office

Transoft Solutions, an industry leader in the development of state of the art software for road, parking and airport design professionals, is pleased to announce the relocation of its corporate headquarters to Commerce Park, Richmond. Commerce Park is one of British Columbia’s premier technology office parks. Transoft’s move was due in part to its rapid expansion, which involved a 30% increase in staff, within the past year and to accommodate the company’s future growth plans.

The company’s new address is:
Suite 250 13575 Commerce Parkway
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
V6V 2L1

Corporate, toll-free, and fax numbers have not changed. In addition to more than tripling the size of Transoft’s previous corporate office, the new location possesses a modern climate controlled environment and includes space for an expanded software testing facility, a larger research and development area and a more efficient order processing center.

Commenting on the company’s move, Transoft’s President, Milton Carrasco, had this to say, “The company has grown at a healthy rate since 1998 which resulted in us out growing our previous space in early 2001. As a result we were forced to lease additional space offsite for our dev group. Given our forecasts for future growth, we decided to acquire a new lease to not only accommodate our whole group in the Vancouver area under one roof but also to provide room for expansion to 2010. The new office park is ideal in that way as it can take on the growth that Transoft continues to experience and has the capacity to accommodate even further growth beyond that horizon”
In closing, Mr. Carrasco added, “I am very pleased with our new location and the state of the art technology features of the new building. Being situated in one of BC’s top hi-tech park and having world class companies for neighbors is a welcomed inspiration and added bonus to us at Transoft.

Overall, this move signifies the growth of our market share in the transportation software industry.”
