TSD Announces Parking Fine Recovery Interface for Car Rental and Loaner Management Software Programs

The recently completed technology enhancements will make available to TSD customers an electronic link to automate the processing of unpaid parking violations issued by cities to car rental companies and dealerships with service loaner cars.

Several TSD customers are already working with VMS to convert what is normally a cost center for the rental car company into a profit center, said Charles Grieco, CEO of TSD. By turning over the billing process to a company dedicated to that business, our customers can focus on what they do best: rent cars and provide service loaners to their customers.
The business model developed by VMS over the last 16 years all but eliminates the hassle, expense, and customer service issues associated with unpaid parking violations, said Dennis Round President of VMS. Some customers have seen as much as a 100 percent increase in collections with an average collection rate 50 percent higher than what rental car companies generally collect on their own.

TSD customers currently using the RMS ASP version of the software will be able to seamlessly tap into this new service. Those with the standalone version of RMS will need some minor programming to take full advantage of this billing and processing service.
