Uniform mobile parking services

Provider of mobile-phone parking systems Elso Mobilfizetes Elszamolo will introduce its service in Budapest and 16 other towns in Hungary from July 1, the company's president said on Friday.
The HUF 100m system is immediately available for subscribers of T-Mobile of the Magyar Telekom group and negotiations with other providers are on-going, said Gyorgy Furst.

The number of users is expected to be around 10,000 but could soon reach 50,000 and 500,000 by the end of next year, he said.

Traffic wardens will be equipped with a WAP-based control system.

Mr Furst said the company is planning to introduce mobile payment in other areas of traffic and a contract has already been signed related to motorways.

Mobilfizetes has registered capital of HUF 20m, which will be raised to HUF 100m in a few weeks.

The company, owned by Centrum and I-cel, plans to turn a profit in 2007.
