Union Station Parking Structure Expansion Receives DVASE Award for Outstanding Project
Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) is honored to receive an Outstanding Project Award for the Union Station Parking Structure Expansion in Washington, DC.
The purpose of the awards program is to recognize creative achievement and innovation in structural engineering.
The historic Union Station Parking Garage, located in downtown Washington D.C., serves approximately 75,000 people each day, and over 32 million annually. As a gateway to some of the worlds most popular destinations, the facility serves rail passengers for AMTRAK and Washington Metro, as well as pedestrians and commuters who use the intercity buses, tour buses, taxis, and even rental cars. In addition, the station is also an exciting shopping destination, with countless specialty boutiques, fashion and gift stores, and a movie theater.
TimHaahs served as the prime design firm for the complex expansion, restoration, and beautification project, joining with RTKL for architectural design for the landmark facility.
