JUJOSA, the manager of the regulated parking service in Castellón, and the local government have chosen Urbiotica’s smart parking solution to optimize the management of its regulated areas and help improve the quality of life of its citizens.
600 spaces will be monitored by wireless sensors which will enable the real-time communication of the availability of spaces through 10 signaling panels and the Castellón mobility application. The solution will also be integrated in the Smart City Castellón platform, allowing more efficient management of its regulated parking areas.
The deployment of the project, which will be completed in the summer, aims to guide vehicles based on the actual availability of parking spaces in the city centre and therefore reduce the volume of vehicles on the road looking for parking and the pollution generated in consequence, benefiting local citizens.
Urban parking guidance solution, tackles the problems faced by Public Administrations and Urban Service Managers of trying to find a parking space on public roads.
It helps them reduce traffic congestion by guiding users to the nearest space based on real-time information about the parking availability.
