AMAG, a G4Tec company, and its Symmetry Security Management Solutions are relied upon by progressive companies around the world for comprehensive, enterprise-wide access control and video management in highly diverse markets, including government, commercial, education, transportation, healthcare, retail and banking. The company can now add powerful video analytics to its robust Symmerty Video product family.

We are working hard to accelerate the adoption of video analytics technologies in a vast array of industries and markets, and we see great opportunities in partnering with leadership companies like AMAG who have a tremendous global presence, said Steven H. Goldberg, President and CEO of Vidient Systems, Inc. As Vidient moves deeper into network-based video solutions, AMAG is an ideal partner for us given their complementary security management systems and experience in delivering complete solutions.

The two companies expect the strategic alliance and product integration efforts will significantly expand the use of AMAGs Symmetry Video Management software system by enabling it to operate in volatile weather and lighting conditions, as well as function flawlessly in busy public areas. AMAGs Symmetry Video, once integrated with Vidient SmartCatch 3.0 behavior recognition and video analytics software, will be able to classify uncharacteristic or suspicious events so security guards and personnel know the difference between a person crossing a secured parking lot or a trash can being blown by the wind. Data will be structured so it can be searched quickly and, in keeping with Symmetry Videos protocol, forwarded on demand.

AMAG has a long-standing history of innovation and leadership in the security market and were continually evaluating partners that will help keep us at the leading edge of this industry, said Bob Sawyer, President of AMAG Technology. In our process of evaluating best in breed technology partners, AMAG feels that Vidient has a
shared vision with regards to innovation. This makes Vidient an ideal strategic partner for video analytics as we move our solutions beyond simple integration to fully networked systems.

Vidient SmartCatch is now in use around the world in corporate facilities, public institutions, and major transportation hubs such as international and regional airports in San Francisco, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Tallahassee, Florida, and Helsinki. It is available worldwide through Vidient, NEC Solutions America, Inc.
