Vinci Park UK Uses Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System

Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is an established but relatively new technology. IVR is a software application that accepts a combination of voice telephone input and touch-tone keypad selection and provides appropriate responses in the form of voice, fax, callback, e-mail and perhaps other media.
It is a common fact that the majority of calls received at a call centre require a standard response from a formulaic script, a task which can be efficiently delivered by a computer operated database, a telephone and an IVR system.

We process L20m credit card parking payments annually at centralised processing centres and at local parking shops. VINCI Park’s IVR system is hosted at our centralised processing office and can interface with any processing system. Currently there are fully tested solutions for Langdale Parking Office for Windows and Compex COPPT, however, it can be adapted for any processing system, it simply requires a rewrite of the module which forms the “glue” between the IVR front-end and your parking database.

The system runs 24 x 7 x 52. There is no need for any downtime. The system can link into a VINCI Park provided telephone system. In this scenario calls can be routed according to PCN state and time of day.
