VINCI Park Wins Fresh Epping Contract
VINCI Park has successfully rebid against competition to win a five-year contract, with an option to extension to 2014, as parking management and enforcement contractor for Epping Forest District Council, UK.
The new agreement, gone live in Mid-November, sees the introduction of new technology to include web- and interactive voice response (IVR) telephone-based payment of penalty charge notices (PCNs) and new handheld terminals for enforcement officers.
Within its remit, VINCI Park is responsible for all cash collection, counting, banking and funds transfer, as well as maintenance of the Councils pay-and-display machines. A new Parking Shop based in Epping Town Centre is expected to improve efficiency and accessibility.
As part of its environmental policies, VINCI Park will use London Underground services to travel to certain beats (test runs indicate also a projected cut in journey time from 40 minutes to 12 minutes!) and, where road transport is necessary, Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles.
