Wilbur Smith Associates Announces Hollis A. Walker, Jr. as New President of the Firm
Wilbur Smith Associates' CEO and Chairman, Steve Smith, is pleased to announce that Hollis A. Walker, Jr., P.E., has been hired to serve as the President of Wilbur Smith Associates. Mr. Walker began his Presidency with WSA on Monday, September 20, 2004.
Prior to joining WSA, Mr. Walker was the Executive Vice President for ARCADIS responsible for a $100 million per year business unit. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for Transportation Operations for Piedmont Olsen Hensley (currently ARCADIS), and was President of the Systems Division of Kimley Horn and Associates.
He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in 13 states; Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Mr. Walker is an active member in many professional associations (ACEC, ASCE, CESC, ITE, ITS America, and TRB), and has authored a number of papers/presentations related to the transportation industry.
