WMATA Awards Contract to POM Incorporated
Washington Metro Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has issued a contract to POM Incorporated of Russellville, Arkansas, for 3,500 new electronic parking meters in excess of $1.4 million.
POMs rotary enforcement signal was found by WMATA to be the best visibility to meet their needs for drive-by enforcement.
The meters feature a jam-resistant coin chute with new anti-cheat technology. The vault is POMs new iron Magnum, a larger version that holds over $118 in quarters.
POM is pleased to help WMATA upgrade all the old meters at their train station parking lots to these new, high-tech versions over the next few months.
