Worldsensing Traffic, through its Polish partner City Parking Group, has deployed its smart parking system Fastprk in Lodz, Poland.
This deployment includes the installation of 27 sensors. These sensors, installed in each parking space, send information to a central control unit. From there, information about parking availability is displayed in some electronic street panels, allowing users to know, in real time, where to find the nearest parking space.
By installing Fastprk, local authorities will be able to better manage urban parking spaces while reducing traffic in the town centre.
This is the second Fastprk deployment in Poland. In September 2014, a showcase was installed in the headquarters of Cityparking Group, in Grudziadz. In the next weeks a new Fastprk deployment in Poland will be anounced, since a new smart city project is being executed in Gliwice.
