WPS launched ParkAdvance™ in France

Imtech’s WPS Parking Solutions’ division has launched a new generation of reliable pay-on-foot parking management technology in France that combines best-in-class mechanical, electronic and software engineering with the highest levels of functionality, versatility and design.

Designed with some of the most challenging parking environments in mind, especially shopping centers and transport hubs where the customer experience is vital, the ParkAdvance™ system is built around a new IP-based operating system architecture that enables it to simply and directly connect with multiple technologies being deployed in car parks, both now and in the future. The paystations feature full color display screens that are fully configurable from a central control room, and can include audio/video instructions and a two-way video intercom to assist customers where needed.

The technology has comprehensive cash and card handling options, as well as accommodating the latest payment systems, and integrates seamlessly with a wide range of ‘identifiers’, from barcoded tickets and smart cards, through to automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). The ParkAdvance™ terminals feature plated steel and aluminum housing and proven internal components, with the LCD full color displays and integrated intercom built-in. Streaming of on-screen advertising is an option for operators seeking to further increase revenues, and the technology incorporates the latest in highly accurate theft and fraud protection measures. Modular and modern in design, the terminals can be wall mounted and come in a range of different colors.

Christelle Boyer, managing director of WPS in the France, said that the technology’s foremost attribute is the simplicity of its interconnectivity.
