Parking isn't about cars, it's about people. How to attract people, move them to their destination, and get them to visit again and again. The success of any facility, mixed-use, retail, residential - hinges on the user experience, and creating places where people want to work, live, and play. Parking structures are the gateway to an ultimate destination, the visitor's first and last impression of any facility. The concept is simple, but the details are not.
This all day seminar will provide attendees with extensive information on developing and designing parking - the right way. Attendees will earn up to 5 valuable AIA LUs or CEUs for professional development, and the day will conclude with a cocktail reception and networking.
The program will be lead by industry experts and leaders in parking, planning and design. The seminar will take place at the Gusman Center for Performing Arts. Olympia Theater first opened in February 1926 as a silent movie palace and amazed the public with its stunning Moorish architecture, perfect acoustics and simulated night sky.
Costs: Free ($50 deposit per person refundable upon attendance)
