Yellow and Co is the leading high attendance parking blacksmith in France with one main focus: Less time parking, more time shopping...
We seek the optimization of every second of the parking process in order to keep traffic as fluid as possible while searching for a spot or exiting the car park. We audit your premises, optimize flow management blueprints, select technologies to implement, design global signage and guidance systems, manage tenders and drive works to hit your strategic goals.
Every year the 150 car parks we have smartened see more than 300 million cars flow into their 250,000 slots with one promise: as long as there is one available parking slot you will be guided there in less than five minutes no matter the peak of attendance. Yellow and Co is the unique contact point throughout your project. The consultancy integrates three complementary activities; research and development, engineering, design and project management to encompass the whole frame of any project, from initial feasibility studies to the end of work site reception.
We coordinate our different on-site interventions and the work of your suppliers within the framework of your project management. We have the necessary expertise to closely collaborate with your global design agencies, architects, project managers, general contractors and all the suppliers involved in the project.
Creator of public satisfaction, Yellow and Co is committed to address and fulfill customer expectations. We observe and analyze human behavior and the cultural reflexes of consumers, in order to enhance efficiency and fluidity in accordance with commercial challenges, architectural concept and overall design of the site.
In May 2014, after almost five years of collaboration and innovations in the car parking sector, including the first implementation of an indoor and outdoor smart car park at Vélizy 2 shopping center near Paris, Yellow and Co and Performance Partner joined forces.
Performance Partner is an engineering consultancy specialized in mobility, urban travel, and traffic flow management, which has been actively present on both private and public business markets since 1993.
By joining forces, the two companies create the French leader in mobility and smart car park design consultancy and provide a unique range of expertise; from traffic flow studies, through design and customer experience management, to final delivery of functional premises.
The purpose of the first stage is to inform of the existence of the retail zone, its activities and the variety of services available within, in order to establish customer reflexes, to incite future attendance: oversized signage and giant totems for enhanced visibility from a distance.
Signage establishing the name of the zone and the presence of principal brands and services. Permanent and long term display signage to ensure the continuity of guidance promoting the retail zone.
Banners and boundary signage for enhanced customer information and local level communication. Kakemonos and flags to boost and liven up communication and to emphasize the size of the site.
Choice of locations, structures, and messages, with respect to technical and regulatory constraints, are the key elements to establishing optimum visibility of the zone.
Entry totems and gates are key elements promoting the extension of the customer path leading to the site and its car parks. They perform several important functions and define the image and market positioning of the retail zone: customer reception, useful information, services, height and width limitations, and various regulatory requirements.
Access control integrates all mandatory signage, commercial identification, and general information and can also include pricing and payment modes, as well as vehicle height and weight limitations depending on architectural constraints and particular limitations relating to the time of the day.
Maximum headroom and vehicle width limitations, according to architectural constraints or different clearance limits can be adapted to restrict access to high clearance vehicles at certain times.
Site protection and height limiting structures provide access control and can be modified to authorize entry to selected vehicles, such as fire brigade or emergency services. Fences, gates and different means of site protection can also be integrated and used for information purposes.
The prime concern is the optimization of the time allocated to parking the car; the time it takes to find available spaces and the time it takes to find the car upon return.
We test the most advanced and innovative technologies every day, in order to identify the best and most effective solutions to fit all situations and types of use.
The end part of customer experience in "smart car parks" is becoming increasingly efficient. Innovative, dynamic exit management solutions, with active links to real-time surveillance of the density of surrounding road traffic, are increasingly applied to dilute traffic flow and improve customer satisfaction.
Once the customer has parked the car, the surrounding design and concept allow him to get his bearings as a pedestrian and provide the necessary information that enables customers to easily locate their vehicles upon return.
The design concept of reserved or dedicated parking spaces (PRM, family, bikes etc.) needs to facilitate their immediate identification.
Service areas (car wash, drop-off area, tire inflation points etc.) need to be easily identified, their function and conditions of use clearly indicated.
The location of service areas, clear, precise definition of their purpose and the signage used to indicate their presence all contribute to safety and enhance the fluidity of the traffic flow inside the car park and are key factors promoting a rapid understanding of the site.
Is a dedicated car-sharing space used to park vehicles bringing several persons to the retail center or to park vehicles to be used by a group of people who chose to meet in the car park?
Is a space dedicated to electric vehicles reserved to park electric cars or a zone reserved to charge their batteries?
Customers are led to different exits or services by the car park's pedestrian-oriented signage.
Pedestrian-oriented signage can take different shapes and forms, depending on its purpose; the indication of directions or to accentuate the location of main entries and exits.
Pedestrian signage has another important function; directional assistance upon return, set up to make it easy to find the car and access to different parking zones.
Pedestrian signage is used to display integrates mandatory (safety and technical) information.
In order to coordinate and harmonize guidance throughout the site, Yellow and Co will assist you in the conception and deployment of signage inside the retail area.
