Position Description

ADVAM, a company of Transaction Network Services, is one of the leading payment solutions companies, in its selected markets. Working with the leading airports, parking operators, shopping centres, local government and self service organisations, ADVAM delivers a way for clients to process cashless payments and engage more effectively with their customers.

The company has a commitment to the latest technology, contemporary design, research and development. This, together with a philosophy that ‘people matter’, ensures a combination that exceeds customer expectations and delivers technical superiority.
We are entering an exciting new phase and are looking for a new software engineer to help us establish a major milestone in the company history.

We’re looking for a full-stack senior software engineer to join our team in Adelaide. Our team is enthusiastic and passionate, embedded in a strong culture of creativity, working in an Agile test-driven development environment, utilising software best-practices to develop best-in-class software.

We’re looking for a savvy, tech-hungry engineer to employ the latest technologies to develop innovative payment solutions. We have a unique opportunity to build something awesome, that leads the way towards a cashless society.

You’ll get to flip bits, pack bytes, build and interface to REST/SOAP APIs over secured encrypted authenticated connections. This will all be driven from your responsive web design application, exploiting the latest AWS architecture and components.

You’ll get to master the powerful modern-day development tools to design and develop user friendly GUIs; deep-diving into database execution plans and debugging multi-threaded call-stacks. This will all be supported by your documentation and product presentations.
We’re at an exciting stage of development, with more ideas than hands. You’ll get to play a key role in both helping develop our future, and take ownership of the architecture and development of significant parts of our platform; being intimately involved in all stages of the software development life cycle.

Who you’ll work with…

As part of this role, you’ll get to work directly with an experienced and entrepreneurial Engineering team with diverse backgrounds such as the visual effects, life-saving medical devices, banking/finance, ISP & telecommunications, building automation and biometric security. And we’re backed by enterprising investors and shrewd management that have built our company to be the leading payment solution provider in Australia.

Qualifications

How you should be qualified…

  • You have more than ten years of experience under your belt building web-based solutions.
  • C# and .NET allows you to get the job done quickly (but are not the only languages/libraries you know).
  • You’ve been the key player in the success of previous software projects and are excited about the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills in the new team.
  • You’re enthusiastic to continue your technical learning and love to share your extensive knowledge with the team.
  • You’re an ambitious team player who understands the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Your desire for understanding is balanced by your pragmatic behaviour to get stuff done.
  • We’re not looking for a turn-the-wheel coding monkey – but instead a smart, passionate developer that contributes ideas to continue our legacy of creating internationally recognized software that leads the way in payment solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.
