Civil Enforcement Officer (Forest Of Dean, UK)

About The Role

Roles are available in the Forest of Dean.
You will be working as part of a strong and friendly team of experienced Civil Enforcement Officers, ensuring that parking restrictions are adhered to so that our contractual requirements are met and maintained.

What you’ll do

  • You will patrol local council car parks to make sure that regulations are being followed
  • Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices
  • Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidy
  • You will report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehicles
  • Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities
  • You’ll check tickets and attend to minor machine faults
  • Work alongside police community support officers to Report incidents, crimes or anti-social behaviour
  • Use equipment such as: Hand-held computers, Two-way radios, mobile phones, cameras to record vehicles that are breaking parking regulations

What you'll bring

  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Literate with good written and spoken English
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Smart appearance
  • The successful candidate must be happy to work outdoors
  • Previous parking experience highly desirable
