About The Role

You’ll be working for RDS, our largest event clients to whom we provide a range of traffic, car park and transactional management services.

As the Contract Manger, you will lead, motivate and develop the Contract team and through them manage and deliver an effective and efficient customer service-focused operation. You’ll provide the focus, direction and leadership required to ensure that the contract meets and exceeds the expectations of our client.

What you’ll do

  • Liaise weekly with APCOA and RDS Management – Reporting
  • Reviewing events calendar and managing proper staffing levels
  • Daily meetings with supervisors – staffing issues and event planning
  • Review the online roster to ensure there are enough staff on duty to service the business and stay within budgets – deployment of staff
  • Ensure that all staff are appropriately attired in the "Company Uniform" and present themselves to work in a timely fashion
  • Ensure all staff are adhering to the proper RDS procedures – are aware of APCOA contractual obligations
  • Carry out weekly spot checks on floats and bag people – Cash security
  • Ensure cash collections are completed and reconciled accurately before handing over to cash collection company
  • Liaising with HR, conduct interviews for new personnel when required
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Work closely with the accounts team, delivering all relevant information in a timely fashion – Daily and weekly reporting on revenue and staffing levels for pay role
  • Approve all holidays for staff – be able use different reporting systems – online roster, HR online, chimp mailing and ticketing system
  • Manage and follow-up on Hand Held, Printer stock and stationary – talking with suppliers and managing stock and technical equipment
  • Deal with CPA queries on an ongoing basis – offering staff support and training when required

What you'll bring

  • 5 years experienced as a manager
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to cover the varying 7 day week demands of the Royal Dublin Society events (RDS)
  • Must have excellent written ability and be able to communicate clearly at all levels – Weekly financial reports, daily emails, queries, Operational planning, Weekly meetings with RDS management and daily with staff on the ground – Liaise with suppliers
  • Driver license an advantage
  • Must be computer literate for Microsoft Office; Email, Word and Excel – technical knowledge is an advantage

The RDS is not a Monday to Friday business and you must be in situ when an important events are on or when a VIP is arriving – Seasonal events, Concerts and VIP events that may be scheduled
