Working as the on–site Security/Parking Manager ensuring all operational requirements and service level agreements are met through all aspects of the Security and Parking contract and fulfilling quality standards and contractual requirements are maintained and the financial performance of the contract achieves and exceeds our shareholder expectations
What you’ll do
To assist the Contract Manager & Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth delivery of the contract with operational responsibility for day to day management of the security and car park management team and operation.
Management and planning of resources including the effective deployment of staff throughout the contract ensuring operational requirements are met within budget
Resolve all operational problems within the scope of the contract and prepare responses to relevant parties within established timeframes, to all service complaints and contractual issues raised
Monitor budget and contract spend in relation to uniform, stationary and other supplies ensuring effective cost control
Identify and assist in the development of new business within the contract
Develop, coach and mentor the team.
Set objectives, conduct appraisals and identifying training needs for operational staff
Monitor and manage staff absence and lateness
Actively lead with recruitment and appointment of additional or replacement resources as the business needs dictate
Manage and deal with disciplinary matters and grievances within the contract, ensuring all procedures are followed in line with company policies
Ensure quality standards are maintained including ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times throughout the contract in line with current procedures.
Develop beneficial relationship with the client, ensure overall client satisfaction and attend client meetings where necessary
Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports in line with the client and APCOA’s reporting requirements
Deputise for the Security Manager when required and in periods of leave and absence
What You'll Bring:
Minimum 2 years management experience at Team Manager or equivalent level, gained within the last 3 years.
Experience of operating within a customer facing environment.
Experience of implementing effective cost control and understanding of budgets
Experience of working within the security industry
Experience of monitoring KPIs
Strong people management skills gained within a diverse workforce, including coaching, training and recruiting skills
Good working knowledge of MS Office
Strong commercial acumen
Ability to present to Management level
Able to operate effectively with the minimum of supervision
SIA Manned Guarding or DS license holder (minimum)
Preparation of reports
Able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
Excellent problem solving skills
Able to manage and motivate staff to deliver an excellent level of service
