Team Leader (Luton and Dunstable, UK)

The Role

We are looking for a Team Leader to operate at London Luton Airport. The role will be focused on monitoring and managing the day-to-day operations of the airport’s parking services. The Team Leader will need to maintain strong communications and consult daily with internal managers for assistance and to resolve outstanding issues.

What you’ll do:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, consisting of car parks, valet parking and the bussing operation, along with the SDM on shift, taking the lead in their absence
  • Communicate daily with the Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager & Transport Supervisor/Manager to tackle outstanding concerns.
  • Be the first point of contact for any customer issues that arise on site
  • Be the primary contact for all customer issue and clients in the absence of the SDM
  • Prepare and allocate staff across the entire operation to ensure resources are deployed efficiently and effectively
  • Organise, manage, and motivate the team across the operation whilst monitoring their performance and ensuring the delivery of allocated tasks
  • Ensure the effective running of the car parks and the bus service
  • Complete shift handover forms between outgoing and incoming crews
  • Monitor and report the SLA performance of all the services provided by APCOA
  • Report and equipment or vehicle defects on site and ensure that works are completed within the agreed site SLA’s.
  • Any reasonable duty as requested by a more senior manager

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience of people management - minimum of 1 years in a people management role
  • Experience of working with members of the public and managing customer service staff
  • Experience of supervisory/ management in last 3 years
  • Knowledge of APCOA parking
  • Sound financial and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Able to prepare reports
  • Strong oral and written communicator
  • Be able to prioritise and multitask
  • Ability to manage and motivate
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Smart and professional attitude
  • Self-motivated, pro-active nature

What we’ll offer you:

  • £25,983 per annum
  • 42 hours a week – shift pattern involves days and nights
  • 20 days including bank holidays (1 additional day per year to a maximum of 25 days annually)

Full UK Drivers Licence is required - position is subject to DBS disclosure report.
