The Assistant Manager of Parking Control manages the daily operations and personnel of the Parking Control Section of Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) at LSU. Provides leadership in performing the activities associated with the Parking Control Team related to daily enforcement activities and special event parking task to include but not limited to university special events, athletic special events and departmental reserved parking reservations.
40% Manages the day-to-day operations of the enforcement area of PTS. Responsible for enforcement personnel related activities specifically, but not limited to time/attendance, scheduling of daily operations, review of performance evaluations, hiring football contingents, conflict resolution and conducts training. Implements quality customer service and uses problem-solving skills daily.
40% Allocates resources and personnel for reserved parking reservations. Collaborates with university departmental staff to solve parking needs for guest/special events. Works with the Business Office to ensure timely and accurate billing for overtime assignments and special events. Interprets rules/regulations as it relates to the parking appeals process and towing related claims working in conjunction with the Assistant Director.
20% Maintains and compiles annual statistical data to include but not limited to violations issued, guard technology errors, parking space usage, vehicle impoundments, abandoned vehicles, motorist assistance activities. Oversees all vehicle and equipment maintenance making recommendations for scheduled replacement. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Parking Control & Maintenance.
