Parking Functions System Function Development Engineer (Frankfurt, DE)

Join our team for Parking & Trailer Functions and become a function developer (m/f/diverse) for “Automated Parking”. You will develop and implement the algorithms that define the vehicle's behavior in the low-speed range. Thus, you will not just write code as an end in itself, but instead, it will be transformed into something that can be experienced first hand by you and all our customers - in millions of cars around the world!

Your Tasks Are

  • System Function Development for Low-Speed Maneuvering
  • Development of Software components for low-speed maneuvering of automated vehicles (e.g., automated parking)
  • Design, implementation, and testing of software components
  • Systematic evaluation of algorithms (in simulation)
  • Definition and evaluation of function requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechatronics, automotive engineering, robotics, computer science, electrical engineering or comparable education
  • First experiences in the development of driver assistance functions (or similarly complex automated systems)
  • System overview of a complex chain of effects of sensors, functions, actuators including human-machine interface
  • Good programming skills in C++
  • Knowledge about sensorics (radar, camera, ultrasonic sensor, etc.)
  • Excellent English and good German language skills (spoken and written)
  • Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking
  • Self-reliant, well-structured and organized working style
  • Good team working skills in an international environment
  • Customer-oriented behavior
