The Director of Business Development plays an essential role in mowiz’s growth and profitability by acquiring and managing new client and municipal relationships and by working with current clients to increase revenue. The Director of Business Development will perform a variety of tasks, including gathering and analyzing market data and industry trends, preparing reports that forecast the feasibility of projects, tracking and responding to Requests for Proposals, building and managing regional sales teams, and creating reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior management on planning, executing, and managing projects and deals in various stages of the business cycle, from conception to implementation and ongoing operation.
Develop relationships with prospective clients, while managing existing clients, in order to grow mowiz’s market share in areas that align with its corporate mission and vision.
Manage Request for Proposal process for mowiz, working closely with various departments when responding to a Request for Proposal to inform team of market conditions, client needs, and current competition on the program. Write and review RFPs for accuracy, clarity, and continuity prior to submission.
Research and report on industry trends, including information on technology, vendors, and markets, documenting findings and preparing recommendations for implementation of new systems or procedures
Hire, train, and manage teams of regional sales agents, developing sales quotas and strategies to meet the needs of the company
Principal Accountabilities
40% - RFP activities, including research, financial modeling, risk evaluation, composing proposals, participation in meetings, production and submission of documentation, and tracking results.
40% - Business Development tasks including participation in meetings, trade shows, and conferences, market, industry, and vendor research, client acquisition, management of sales teams, and relationship management
10%- Stakeholder Reporting, including industry and market trends, vendor research, project feasibility, RFP pipeline, and project performance.
10%- Participate in other initiatives and provide support for other roles; ad hoc tasks.

Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principals involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
Project Evaluation: Identifying measures or indicators of project feasibility and the actions needed to improve or correct, relative to the goals of the project.
Sales and Marketing: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and control systems.
Client and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the workplace
Prior experience in parking and mobility industries
Prior experience selling digital solutions
Affinity for IT solutions and app-based services
Up to 80% travel schedule to mowiz markets and industry events
Ambitious, self-motivated, and self-disciplined
Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
Ability to multitask and manage time and parallel tasks effectively
Knowledge of computer-based software and programs, including but not limited to CRM software (Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc), and Office Suite software (Microsoft Office, G Suite, etc)
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and shifting deadlines and workloads
