Regional Sales Manager (Scotland)

Regional Sales Manager (Scotland)Promote and sell products and digital solutions developed by Flowbird to clients in the Smart City market segment, which comprise among others of Local Authorities, Parking Operators, NHS Trusts, Property Developers etc.


  • Promote Flowbird products and digital solutions, in order to obtain orders that meet or exceed the established annual order and revenue budget of the UK OPCO.
  • Visit existing clients regularly and promote and sell the products and digital services, to potential clients, in the most cost-effective way and with a maximum coverage of the geographical area responsible for.
  • Be responsible for commercial matters, such as, preparing proposals, negotiating and revising supply contracts, compile and collate responses to Public and Private Tenders. Ensure that procedures are met, in particular regarding Tenders, with Marketing, Legal Department and Accounts Department.
  • Complete and submit order specifications to the Sales Administration Department.
  • Assist the wider Flowbird team with customer visits and follow up on customer introductions developed, as instructed by the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Work with the After Sales Service Department to ensure software and further requirements are known and organised effectively, to ensure deadlines are realistic and met.
  • Assist in facilitating the on time payment, from Customers.
  • Obtain and communicate to, the Senior Sales Manager and the Marketing Department, information related to the markets, the political and economic status for the area, the client's product requirements, the competitor product range and their marketing and Sales activity in the area.
  • Keep the Region’s entries into “Salesforce” (the Company’s forecasting and opportunity monitoring software tool) up to date.
  • Make a monthly report each calendar month in accordance with the standards and format specified by the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Create and keep up-dated sales presentations, which are adapted to the requirements of each client’s business and market conditions.
  • Work closely with the UK Sales Team, feeding information into the team and communicating regularly, to ensure that business development in the region is in accordance with the businesses strategy.
  • Actively contribute to improve the quality of both products and services by working in accordance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Contribute to interdepartmental communication in order to improve client's awareness andthe creation of a team spirit within and outside own work responsibility.
  • Contribute to a service minded and client oriented approach and promptly respond to external and internal correspondence with the service of the client in focus.
  • Ensure the vehicle used for that company business is road worthy and maintained as per the manufacturer’s recommendations and in line with the business procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven successful sales experience in a similar industry with product and project based emphasis. Ideally experience gained from working with Local Authorities and similar purchasing agencies.
  • Customer focussed

  • A natural sales person
  • Good IT skills -Microsoft Office & GSuite
  • High standard of written English
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working to tight timescales with sometimes conflicting priorities
