Software Team Leader (Besançon, FR)


Job Description

In support of the Smart City development teams, the Team Leader aims to lead and functionally manage the development teams. Its role is to manage and control the technical quality of the components delivered.


Integrated into the Smart City development team, you are in charge of:

  • take responsibility for the product components developed in its teams
  • ensure the delivery of produced components
  • provide support for product components (during development and until maintenance)
  • ensure the achievement of the required functions while respecting:
  • business strategies
  • cost / time / quality objectives
  • propose solutions to ensure the balance between the performance capacity of its teams and the workload required by the projects
  • Manage the teams under his responsibility
  • Ensure backward compatibility of the components produced under its responsibility
  • Coordinate the work of the development teams under his responsibility by optimizing development schedules
  • Develop and implement the technical roadmap in order to produce according to the rules of the art.
  • Manage and plan the development of new features in sprints
  • Participate in the definition of the processes associated with the business and their application.
  • Propose and implement actions to improve productivity in its teams.

Other additional missions may be entrusted:

  • Collect, assess and communicate on project risks related to product development
  • Raise visibility on progress and coordinate deliveries
  • Reschedule leftovers according to velocity and available resources
  • Adapt the product organization over time and technical and resource constraints
  • Ensure the relevance, schedule and quality of deliveries of internal product components with other components of other teams in order to have synchronized and operational system deliveries with the least possible integration / validation necessary.


  • Bac + 5 level, you ideally have a successful experience of 3 to 5 years in a Component technical Leader position or 5 years of experience in team management and technical skills adapted to those used in the target teams
